About the panel

+What is Future Fan Panel?

A community of 100 fans (for now, in London - more cities coming) whose voices help brands in sport, music, and entertainment understand what fans actually want. You give us your honest opinions in short surveys. We give you vouchers, competitions, and money-can't-buy experiences in return.

+Who runs it?

Future Fan Panel is run by Fantenna, a product made by Monterosa. Monterosa has been building fan-engagement platforms since 2008 and is ISO 27001 certified for information security. There is a real DPO and a real business behind this, not a side project.

+How much time does it take?

About 30 minutes a month, broken into short prompts. A 60-second voice note here, a 5-minute survey there. You decide which ones you reply to. There is no penalty for skipping.

+What do I get?

Vouchers (we use Tremendous, which connects to over 2,500 brands across 230 countries), competition entries for prizes, and money-can't-buy experiences with the brands and clubs we work with. Voucher amounts vary by survey, typically GBP 5 to GBP 25 per response.

+When does the reward arrive?

After we have processed your response. Most rewards land within 5 minutes. If something needs a closer look, within 24 hours.

+Why do you process responses before paying?

Because it keeps the panel honest. Real responses get rewarded fast. Anyone trying to game the system with bots or copy-paste answers gets caught. That protects the value of being a member.

Identity and trust

+Do I need to send you my passport or driving licence?

No. We are not a bank. We do not do KYC, that is a financial-services term that does not apply to us. What we do is panel-research identity verification: a quick selfie with a liveness check (a few seconds in front of your camera), so we know you are a real, unique person and not a bot or someone using stolen photos.

+Why a selfie?

Two reasons. First, to confirm you are a real human and that you are not already signed up under another email. Second, the same selfie is the input for your AI avatar. We use the selfie once for those two purposes and then it is destroyed within 24 hours.

+Will my real face be shown anywhere?

No. Your real face is never shown to our customers, never shown in the community feed, never published anywhere. You appear as your AI-generated avatar (which you choose the style of) and a pseudonymous handle.

+What happens to my selfie?

We use it to verify you are real and to generate your avatar, and then it is destroyed within 24 hours. We keep a one-way mathematical hash to prevent the same person signing up twice, but the hash cannot be turned back into a face.

+Are the brands you work with told who I am?

No. Brands see your AI avatar, your pseudonymous handle, your cohort (e.g. London Spurs fan, age 25-34), and your responses. They do not see your real name, email, address, phone, face, or voice. Ever.

Audio and video

+Can I respond by voice or video?

Yes. We accept text, voice notes, and short videos. WhatsApp voice notes work great, reply to the prompt directly in the chat.

+Will my video or voice be played to brands?

No. We extract the information from your responses (transcript, themes, sentiment, quotes attributed to your avatar) and brands see those. Your raw video and voice recordings are never published, sold, syndicated, or shown to any third party. This is the most important promise we make: we extract, never republish.

+How long do you keep my recordings?

Raw audio and video are kept for 60 days. Long enough for us to validate your response and update our extraction tools if needed. After 60 days, the raw recordings are destroyed automatically. The transcript and the insights stay (and continue to be attributed to your avatar, never your real identity).

Data and consent

+What data do you store about me?

The minimum we need to run the panel: your email, your phone number, your postcode, your age bracket, your club affiliation and cultural interests, your responses and their transcripts, and your reward history. Plus a face-vector hash for uniqueness and (optionally) a voice template for survey identity.

+Do I have to consent to everything?

No. Consent is granular. You can join the panel without opting in to marketing emails. You can do text surveys without enabling voice. You can switch any of these on or off at any time from your account dashboard.

+Can I delete my account?

Yes, any time. From your account dashboard, one click. We hard-delete your record within 30 days, including pushing deletion to every third-party we use. The only things we keep are anonymised insights already in customer hands and a minimal record needed for tax and audit obligations (typically 7 years for reward issuance).

+Is my data sent outside the UK or EU?

Our processing is mostly UK and EU based. A few sub-processors are US-based (e.g. AI providers). For all of those we have Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent transfer mechanisms in place. Full sub-processor list at /privacy/sub-processors.

+Are you GDPR compliant?

Yes, in the UK and EU. We are also aligned with US state privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA in California, VCDPA in Virginia, BIPA in Illinois for biometric processing, and others).

+What about children?

The panel is 18 and over only. We verify this at signup and again during identity verification.

For the curious

+How do I sign up?

Click the button. Provide an email, verify your phone, do a 30-second selfie liveness check, pick your avatar style, answer a few cohort questions, and you are in. Total time about 4 minutes.

+Which cities are you in?

London first. UK rest-of-country, then North America, then France/Germany, then EU rest. If you are not in London but want to register interest, leave your details on the waitlist and we will let you know when your city opens.

+Where do the vouchers come from?

We use Tremendous, a rewards platform with over 2,500 brand options across 230 countries, including the UK, US, Canada, France, Germany, and the rest of the EU. You pick the brand you want when you redeem.

+What if I disagree with a validation decision?

Tell us. There is a request human review option on every response. Any response can have a human reviewer take a second look.

+How do I know you are not selling my data?

We do not sell personal data. We license insights derived from your responses to our customers, that is the commercial product. The legal asymmetry is deliberate: we have broad rights to use the insights, narrow rights (60 days, internal use only) over your raw recordings. The full licence wording is at /terms.

+Who audits this?

Monterosa is ISO 27001 certified. Our security and data-handling controls are externally audited annually. Customers also receive a per-engagement attestation report including a cryptographic Merkle root over the panellist set.

+What is the AI avatar made with?

We use a face-preserving stylisation model (Replicate's InstantID with curated style models) running on a verified selfie. The model abstracts your face into one of three styles (editorial portrait, vector flat, future-fan neon). Avatars are watermarked using C2PA Content Credentials.

+Where is my data physically stored?

Postgres database in EU (Ireland) for the panel record. Cloudflare R2 (also EU) for raw media. A small number of sub-processors are US-based. Full list at /privacy/sub-processors.
